Today: packing. Keeping fretting about public speaking to a minimum. Tomorrow I’m off to Rochester for TBF Live!
Speaking of which, I’m on the TBF blog – check it out: http://carlyreads.blogspot.com/2010/05/hey-readers-tbf-2010-is-merely-days.html
In other news, I read The Dust of 100 Dogs by A.S. King which completely blew me away (plus, this has to be one of the best covers, ever). And I’ll be meeting King at the Festival this weekend! It’s utterly exciting and overwhelming…but I’ll be surrounded by book people. Not only that, but YA book people. These are my people.
I’ve been in reading-mode lately, reading book after book. It’s fantastic, but in the back of my mind I keep thinking about this block of time I have coming up in just over a week. Time that is intended for revising one of my works in progress…but which work in progress will it be? Will inspiration strike? It’s all a mystery…but I can’t puzzle it out yet, not with my big exciting weekend still to come.
I’ll be back on Monday. I’ll tell you ALL about it.
